CHAT-BOT "LEGAL ADVISOR FOR IDPs" WILL BE AVAILABLE IN VIBER AND TELEGRAM
On October 8, at 12:00 am, the Ukrinform news agency will host a presentation of the chat-bot "Yurydychnyi poradnyk dlia pereselentsiv" (Legal Advisor for IDPs) on Viber and Telegram platforms.
This tool is designed to solve the issues of access to qualified legal assistance for persons, affected by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in eastern Ukraine and due to the occupation of the Crimean Peninsula.
Chat-bot will work on Viber and Telegram messenger platforms, and will allow to get qualified free legal assistance at any time and in any place.
Chat-bot is a joint product of the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP Program and the legal team of the CF "Right to Protection", which since 2014 has been dealing with the legal protection of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and persons affected by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in eastern Ukraine, as well as due to the occupation of the Crimean Peninsula.
"Now there are up to 1.5 million IDPs in Ukraine, who often need fast and qualified assistance. The Ministry for Reintegration of TOT together with our partners does everything possible to ensure that due to modern communication tools people can obtain the necessary legal assistance quickly and free of charge. I am very grateful to EGAP Program and the team of the CF "Right to Protection", which realized this chat-bot," noted the Deputy Minister for Reintegration of TOT of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitization Snaver Seitkhalil.
The official will also participate in the presentation of the chat-bot "Legal Advisor for IDPs" together with Viktor Liakh, President of the Foundation for Eastern Europe; Dariia Lysenko, project manager, lawyer of the CF "Right to Protection"; Iryna Kalupakha, Head of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Policy and Internally Displaced Persons of the Ministry for Reintegration of TOT; Valerii Shtaba, chief specialist of the Digital Transformation Projects Support Department of the Digital Transformation Projects Coordination Department of the Ministry of Digital Transformation; Yuliia Tral, Legal Aid Coordinator of the CF "Right to Protection". Serhii Karelin, coordinator of the E-democracy component of the EGAP Program, implemented by the Eastern Europe Foundation and funded by Switzerland will be the moderator of this event.
During the press conference the following subjects will be discussed: how modern technology can help ensure the rights of IDPs and how the chat-bot "Legal Advisor for IDPs" is different from its analogues; as well as how it can help in solving issues of IDPs and the future prospects for using this tool.
