In September 2018, 266,504 People Crossed Administrative Border

In September 2018, 266,504 people and 43,778 vehicles crossed the administrative border in Kherson oblast in both directions.

Compared to August, the number of crossings on foot decreased by 29.7 % and by vehicles by 23.9 %.

  • EECP “Chonhar” towards Ukraine 113,148 people and 18,468 vehicles, in the opposite direction 87,453 people and 15,536 vehicles;
  • EECP “Kalanchak” towards Ukraine 29,540 people and 3,267 vehicles, in the opposite direction 24,986 people and 2,856 vehicles;
  • EECP “Chaplynka” towards Ukraine 6,190 people and 1,875 vehicles, in the opposite direction 5,187 people and 1,776 vehicles.

Citizens of Ukraine who live in temporarily occupied territories travel to controlled territory to visit families, purchase necessary goods and services, to register documents. Ministry for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine is actively working to improve the convenience and speed of crossing EECPs by citizens who, under circumstances beyond their control, live in a temporarily occupied territory.
