EECP IN SCHASTIA AND ZOLOTE ARE SCHEDULED TO BE OPEN BY THE END OF AUTUMN
The Ukrainian Government is making every effort to restore the work of the EECP on the line with the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts. New EECP in Zolote and Schastia settlements (Luhansk oblast) are scheduled to be open within four months. First Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories of Ukraine Rostyslav Zamlynskyi stated the aforementioned on TV channel "Dom".
According to him, a complex of facilities for crossing and provision of services for citizens has already been built on the Government-controlled territory near Zolote City. As for the EECP near Schastia City, the Working Group, which included representatives of the Ministry for Reintegration, local governments and servicemen, should determine the places of arrangement of the regime and service territory in the near future.
“We expect that within four months, the occupation administration will still fulfil its obligations to install a certain complex of buildings so that our citizens can enter the Government-controlled territory,” emphasized Rostyslav Zamlynskyi.
He noted that it is planned to establish service centers at EECP to serve citizens from non-Government controlled territories. There are plans to open a pharmacy, a mobile center for provision of administrative services, a legal reception and other facilities to serve citizens.
EECP "Zolote" with the only vehicle contact line crossing point in Luhansk oblast, was closed in 2016. Currently, only one EECP in Stanytsia Luhanska has been opened in Luhansk oblast. In June, 14.5 thousand persons and more than 600 vehicles crossed the contact line through EECP "Stanytsia Luhanska" from the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk oblast.
