LVIV COMPANY IN COOPERATION WITH UNDP WILL CONDUCT BUSINESS TRAINING FOR IDPs
The training programs will cover about 500 participants from nine cities. Participants will learn how to start their own business and how to manage it effectively.
Lviv company LLC «IQholding» one more time won the competition for the implementation of training programs for the UN Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme. The IQholding team will be cooperating with UNDP not for the first time: in 2015-2017 and 2019 due to successfully conducted variety of educational programs and business trainings, more than 4300 persons received the knowledge necessary to create and develop their own business.
This time, two agreements were signed at once - to conduct a training program on developing entrepreneurship skills (November-December 2019) and to conduct a series of business trainings on business development and practical aspects of entrepreneurship (December 2019).
The training is designed for internally displaced persons and the local residents of Donetsk, Luhansk Oblasts (Government controlled areas of Ukraine), as well as Zaporizhia Oblast.
The trainings are aimed at strengthening the entrepreneurial activity of the local population, increasing the activity of internally displaced persons, teaching the participants how to choose the sphere of business activity, how to start, register their own business, and also manage it effectively.
Thus, participants with the help of professional trainers from all over Ukraine will be able to develop or improve their business skills.
The Entrepreneurship Skills Development Program provides for 10 five-day business trainings, the result of which should be a detailed development of at least one business plan by each participant based on selected business ideas.
Each participant will be given the opportunity to present and defend their business project in front of the group and receive feedback from expert trainers. In addition, participants will learn how to sell their goods and services, build an effective advertising campaign.
A series of business trainings on business development and practical aspects of entrepreneurship includes 12 trainings, divided into two subjects: «Practical aspects of entrepreneurship for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises of Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhia Oblasts» and «Obstacles for growth and the basics of strategic development for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises».
The training programs will cover about 500 participants from nine cities (Kramatorsk, Mariupol, Pokrovsk, Kreminna, Sievierodonetsk, Berdiansk, Melitopol, Prymorsk, Tokmak).
Participation in training for selected participants is free. UNDP fully reimburses all necessary training costs.
Attracting leading professional trainers who have extensive theoretical and practical experience in the field of entrepreneurship, the use of their own training programs and methods, as well as a huge body of knowledge in conducting training exercises are the key advantages of the company that allow it to successfully implement such important and responsible projects.
In the framework of the UN Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme, from 2015 in the East of Ukraine small business grants have been provided for the creation, restoration and development of the micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. The goal of the program is the economic recovery of regions affected by the conflict, supporting entrepreneurship, promoting employment and capacity building of IDPs and local population to generate income independently.
In general, during the existence of the program, grants were provided for the implementation of 649 business projects, due to which more than two thousand work places were created. 7 500 people received training in entrepreneurship, further training and business development skills. In general, within the framework of various activities ofUNDP, nearly 3 500 work places were created in 8 regions of Ukraine.
The United Nations Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme (UN RPP) is implemented by four United Nations agencies: United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The program is supported by eleven international partners: the European Union, the European Investment Bank, as well as the governments of Great Britain, Denmark, Canada, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland and Japan.
