INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS TO INVEST OVER 150 MILLION USD INTO DEVELOPMENT OF DONETSK AND LUGANSK OBLAST INFRASTRUCTURE
New infrastructural projects are being implemented in Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts with support of the World Bank, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the governments of European countries. First Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Rostyslav Zamlynskyi spoke about the progress of such projects at the session of the “Dialogue on Peace and Safe Reintegration” National Platform.
“I thank the Government of France for the assistance in potable water supply of Mariupol City. Financing has started on this project, and 64 million EUR will be invested in the nearest few years. All documents have also been signed with the World Bank and the IBRD on the so-called “3R” Project, in frames of which 100 million USD will be invested into the road infrastructure as well as in agriculture, from a modern laboratory to satisfy the needs of agricultural businesses and to agricultural hubs, namely grain elevators and other infrastructure required for development of agricultural business,” Zamlynskyi said.
Apart from that, the First Deputy Minister spoke about the agreements reached with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Developoment and USAID regarding construction of the railway in Lugansk Oblast.
Mr. Zamlynskyi also described the strategic position of Ministry for Reintegration on creation of the partner quadrangle: business – state authorities – local community – international partners. Only the interests of the residents have to be in the center of this cooperation, because Ministry for Reintegration is for people and about people.
