THE MINISTRY FOR REINTEGRATION SUBMITTED THE DRAFT CONCEPT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF DONETSK AND LUHANSK OBLASTS TO THE CENTRAL EXECUTIVE AUTHORITIES AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS FOR APPROVAL
The Ministry for Reintegration of Temporary Occupied Territories of Ukraine submitted a draft concept for the future Economic Development Strategy of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts for approval by the central executive authorities and local governments of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
"We invited up to 200 different institutions, including half a hundred NGOs to join the concept of development. For almost two months, the Ministry for Reintegration has collected and processed the submitted proposals. Yesterday (September 30, 2020), as was promised, the draft concept was submitted for approval to the central executive authorities and local governments of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. Within 20 days we should receive feedback, take into account the proposals and submit the concept by the end of autumn," reported Oleksii Reznikov, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of TOT.

Let us recall that the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories is preparing the Strategy of Economic Development of Government-controlled Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, which will reflect the proposals of communities which reside there.
It is planned to complete the development of the concept in autumn of this year.
Information: According to the UN, the contact line in the East of Ukraine reaches a length of 427 km. There are 155 settlements with up to 400 000 residents along the contact line.
