THE MINISTRY FOR REINTEGRATION PLANS TO CARRY OUT AN INVENTORY OF INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES IN THE GOVERNMENT-CONTROLLED AREA OF DONBAS
The Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories of Ukraine plans to carry out an inventory of all industrial facilities on the Government-controlled area of Luhansk oblast of Ukraine.
Consequently, within the framework of the working visit to Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, representatives of the Ministry for Reintegration - Andrii Myroshnichenko, Advisor to Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov and CEO of the Directorate of Strategic Planning and European Integration Marta Bukhtiiarova met with representatives of business sector in Sievierodonetsk and Popasna cities of Luhansk oblast.
During the discussion of the Strategy of Economic Development of Donbas, representatives of the business sector noted the need to carry out an inventory of all industrial facilities in Luhansk oblast for their further use.
The Ministry for Reintegration also stressed the need for such an inventory in Donetsk oblast. The issue of establishment of an insurance system for military risks was also discussed during the meeting. Furthermore, in a course of a working visit, the meetings were held with the leadership of the civil-military administration, heads of local governments, NGOs and other non-governmental institutions in order to form a comprehensive solution for the economic development of the region.
During the week, representatives of the Ministry will hold such discussions in Starobilsk city of Luhansk oblast, Kramatorsk, Avdiivka, Mariupol and Volnovakha cities of Donetsk oblast.
The objective of the events is to prepare a draft Concept for the Implementation of the Economic Development Strategy of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, which provides for the establishment of legal, regulatory, institutional and organizational conditions for the formation a new economic identity for the region based on the integrated introduction of a management system and organization of economic processes with broad involvement of investment resources, which will become the basis for sustainable development of the region and local communities and, subsequently, full-scale reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Following the discussions on the draft Concept in the oblasts, the draft will be finalized and submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for approval.
