MINISTRY FOR REINTEGRATION AND COORDINATION CENTRE FOR LEGAL AID PROVISION SIGNED A MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION
Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories Inna Holovanchuk and Acting Director of the Coordination Centre for Legal Aid Provision Oleksandr Baranov signed a memorandum of cooperation in the sphere of providing free legal aid.
The Coordination Center was established in order to have an effective system of free legal aid (FAP) in Ukraine, ensuring its accessibility and quality.
Considering that one of the vulnerable categories of the population assisted by the organization is internally displaced persons, cooperation between the Ministry for Reintegration and the Center will open up new opportunities for IDPs, in particular, awareness in the human rights sphere.
Inna Holovanchuk emphasized the importance of free, but at the same time high quality legal aid for socially vulnerable sections of the population, especially those people who have been adversely affected by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and the occupation of some Ukrainian territories by Russia.
“Cooperation of the Ministry for Reintegration with the Coordination Centre for Legal Aid Provision will help our organizations to become stronger, as well as to all categories of vulnerable groups addressed by the Ministry,” noted the Deputy Minister.
Oleksandr Baranov stated that cooperation between the Ministry and the Centre has great prospects:
“Currently, the organization is actively working on legal awareness, informing the population, including internally displaced persons, about their rights, as well as the assistance they can obtain from the state.”
