THE MINISTRY FOR REINTEGRATION TRANSFERRED UAH 2.3 MILLION TO UKRAINIAN CITIZENS ILLEGALLY IMPRISONED BY THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
The Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories of Ukraine transferred UAH 2.3 million for payment of monetary assistance to families of Ukrainian citizens illegally imprisoned due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, and Ukrainians still in Russian captivity.
Consequently, the families of 20 Ukrainian citizens, who are still behind bars, received monetary assistance for UAH 100 000.
In addition, three more Ukrainian citizens who were released from Russian captivity received monetary assistance worth UAH 100 000.
Furthermore, in the near future, another family, whose family member is behind bars in Russia, will receive the payments as soon as they open a bank account where the funds can be transferred.
Earlier, a decision was made to provide monetary assistance to "Kremlin prisoners" and families of Ukrainians imprisoned in Russia. Up to 50 more applications received by the Ministry for Reintegration of TOT from prisoners or their families are expected to be considered at the next meeting.
Let us recall, that on September 1 of this year, the Interdepartmental Commission has allocated monetary assistance worth UAH 100 000 to 10 families of Ukrainian citizens illegally imprisoned by the Russian Federation. In addition, another 18 Ukrainian citizens released from Russian captivity were allocated the same amount of monetary assistance.
The Ministry for Reintegration of TOT continues to work on simplification of mechanism of assistance provision to citizens who were adversely affected due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation (illegally convicted, prisoners of war).
