MINISTRY FOR VETERANS AFFAIRS IS WORKING ON A HOUSING PROGRAM FOR VETERANS AND INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS
Housing for combatants and internally displaced persons is the most acute and painful problem of our time.
The Ministry for Veterans Affairs, Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine is systematically looking for ways to solve it, and to do so is actively negotiating with other government authorities. And has the results!
Due to the fruitful cooperation between the Ministry for Veterans Affairs and the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, one of the most effective mechanisms for solving the housing problem was picked out - the Affordable Housing Program by «Derzhmolodzhitlo» - has received funding in the amount of 300 million UAH (increased by three times comparing to the previous budget costs). This will help about 900 Ukrainian families of combatants and IDPs.
«But we are not going to stop there, and therefore we are now finishing the finalization of a completely new housing program for the same categories, which for the first time in Ukraine will start an affordable mortgage! Moreover, the Government supports the allocation of start-up totalling 200 million UAH for it», ‒ said Anton Columbet, First Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs, Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine.
He also added that the issue of financing these programs will become a key one in the future. The Ministry for Veterans Affairs plans to launch a wide attraction of our foreign partners to co-financing. We'll continue to work.
