THE USIF SUPERVISORY BOARD HAS RESUMED ITS WORK
On August 5, 2020 in the premises of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, after almost a year break, a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Social Investment Fund (USIF) was held.
The new composition of the Supervisory Board of the Fund was formed in accordance with the Regulation on USIF, amended by the Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 552 dated from July 7,2020.
As it was previously reported, the amendments to the Regulation on the USIF provide for the expansion of the Supervisory Board through co-chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories and including a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Supervisory Board.
These amendments concern the work of the Supervisory Board and its decision-making procedure.
During the meeting of the Supervisory Board of the USIF held on August 5 under the chairmanship of the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Maryna Lazebna, the decisions were made on the following issues:
⁃ updated Regulation on the USIF Supervisory Board;
⁃ approval of reports on the implementation of the budget and the action plan of the Fund in the second half of 2019;
⁃ approval of the action plan and budget of USIF for 2020 and reports on their implementation in the first half of this year;
⁃ approval of results of audits of the Fund conducted in the second half of 2019 - first half of 2020;
⁃ approval of amendments to the Regulations (Guidelines) of the Fund's activity on the basis of Order No. 552 adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated from July 7, 2020;
⁃ approval of special provisions that additionally regulate implementation of the project "EU4Skills: Modernization of the infrastructure of the vocational education system in Ukraine" No. ENI/2019/410-215, funded by the European Union through KfW;
⁃ establishment of South, South-West and West regional representative offices of USIF for the effective implementation of the project "EU4Skills: Modernization of infrastructure of the vocational education system in Ukraine".
In addition, the Supervisory Board has set a number of tasks for the Fund, including the development of a draft strategy for the development of USIF and provision of detailed information on sub-projects that are being implemented under the current projects realized by the Fund.
