USIF SUPERVISORY BOARD APPROVED THE LIST OF SUBPROJECTS WORTH EUR 35 MILLION TO BE FUNDED BY INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS OF UKRAINE

Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Social Investment Fund, co-chaired by Oleksii Reznikov, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories of Ukraine, and Maryna Labezna, Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine, approved the list of subprojects within the framework of international technical assistance projects and projects of economic and social development of Ukraine, supported by international financial organizations for a total amount of more than EUR 35 million. All these subprojects are implemented by the Ukrainian Social Investment Fund. They will assist to renew social infrastructure in the regions and improve access to social services.

Within the framework of the project "Assistance to Social Infrastructure Development - Improvement of Primary Health Care in Rural Areas - USIF VII" funded by the Government of Germany through the Credit Institute for Reconstruction (KfW), it is planned to finance 53 subprojects, of which 3 in Luhansk and 15 in Donetsk oblasts. The project is aimed at improving primary health care conditions through energy-efficient renovation of premises and supply of medical equipment.

The project "Provision of social services in amalgamated communities", funded by the Japan Social Development Fund (JSDF) through the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), provides support to 30 amalgamated communities to strengthen their capacity to provide residents with quality social services, increase access to social and communication infrastructure of the community, and improve coverage of services of vulnerable groups.

The project "EU4Skills: Modernization of Vocational Education and Training in Ukraine", funded by the European Union through the Credit Institute for Reconstruction (KfW), provides funding for the repair and modernization of the material and technical base for 18 vocational education institutions.

Information: Ukrainian Social Investment Fund was established according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 740 "On establishment of Ukrainian Fund of Social Investments" dated from April 28, 2000  and realizes projects of development of social infrastructure facilities, procurement of goods, works and services at the expense of financial resources, which are provided within the framework of international technical assistance projects and projects of economic and social development of Ukraine, supported by international financial organizations.
