The Ministry for Veterans Affairs, Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine is ready to transfer all the developments in the event of reorganization of the department into separate structures or creation of a new Ministry.

The Minister Oksana Koliada elaborated on the situation to the Ukrinform.

“This (the probability of reorganization of the Ministry - ed.) was stated by the President in a public conversation with the Prime Minister at the end of last week. Now we are awaiting for the Prime Minister’s decision on the reorganization. In the interview I said that, taking into account the President’s statement, we are preparing, we are ready for such a process, we have developments, and we are ready to transfer them to the new Minister. Perhaps it will even be the Deputy Prime Minister,” she said.

Koliada noted that such a decision has not yet been made: “I think that the Prime Minister still has to adopt it and publicly declare it.”

“I emphasize that this does not in any way indicate that our Ministry failed. On the contrary, we have succeeded in raising this huge array, especially of cross-sectoral cooperation, and to show that the subject of reintegration is worth a separate Ministry, and maybe even the positions of the Deputy Prime Minister, who could have taken over this cross-sectoral cooperation,” added the Minister.
