The Government supported the decision to simplify the Procedure for entry/exit of the temporarily occupied territory for children from 14 to 16 years who were not able to obtain a passport of a citizen of Ukraine or who lost it.

According to the adopted Resolution, they will be able to cross the contact line with birth certificate by May 1, 2020.

«This will be an opportunity for all those children living on TOT to come to the Government-controlled territory of Ukraine, to obtain a passport and in the future freely cross the EECP. They will have the opportunity to integrate into the Ukrainian space, to enter Ukrainian Universities and to feel like full-fledged citizens of the country with all the rights and opportunities that the state provides for them,» said Oksana Koliada, Minister for Veterans Affairs, Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine.
