REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MINISTRY FOR VETERANS AFFAIRS PARTICIPATED IN A ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION ON THE PROBLEMATIC ISSUES OF RECEIVING MONETARY COMPENSATION FOR DESTROYED HOUSING AS A RESULT OF THE ARMED AGGRESSION OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
Representatives of the Ministry for Veterans Affairs, together with the charitable foundation “Right to Protect”, with the participation of representatives of local government and civil-military administrations of Luhansk Oblast, took part in the round table that was held on February 12, 2020, in Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk Oblast.
The round table is devoted to the discussion of the problematic issues of receiving monetary compensation for housing destroyed as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation within the framework of the mechanism provided by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 947 dated from December 18, 2013 “On Approval of the Procedure for Provision and Granting of Compensation to victims of emergency situations, who remained in the same place of residence”, as well as the development of common ways of solving problems faced by local governments in the application of these regulations.
At the same time, the Law of Ukraine “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2020” provides for the budget program “Monetary Compensation for Affected persons, whose Residential Houses (Apartments) were Destroyed as a result of a Military Emergency Caused by the Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation”, the chief administrator of which is the Ministry for Veterans Affairs.
