140 642 PEOPLE CROSSED THE ADMINISTRATIVE LINE IN KHERSON OBLAST IN JANUARY 2019

During January 2019, 140 642 people and 21 860 vehicles crossed the administrative line in  Kherson oblast in both directions.

Comparing with December, the number of crossings by civilian population increased by 17.4% and vehicles by 2.8%.

EECP "Chonhar" was crossed by 31,221 people and 6,105 vehicles towards Ukraine, in the opposite direction- 31,035 people and 5,924 vehicles;

EECP "Kalanchak" was crossed by 36 389 people and 3,632 vehicles towards Ukraine, in the opposite direction- 34 922 people and 3 436 vehicles;

EECP "Chaplynka" was crossed by 3 535 people and 1,371 vehicles towards Ukraine, in the opposite direction- 3,540 people and 1,392 vehicles.

The citizens of Ukraine, living in the temporarily occupied territories, travel to the controlled area to visit families, to purchase the necessary goods and services and to process documents. The Ministry for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine is actively working on improving the convenience and speed of crossing of EECPs by citizens, who live in the temporarily occupied territory due to the circumstances which are beyond their control.
