197 795 PEOPLE CROSSED THE ADMINISTRATIVE LINE IN KHERSON OBLAST IN BOTH DIRECTIONS DURING MAY 2019

During May 2019, 197 795 people and 32 136 vehicles crossed the administrative line in Kherson oblast in both directions.

Comparing with April, the number of crossings by civilian population increased by 39.78 %, and vehicles by 39.84 %.

EECP “Chonhar” was crossed by 49 254 people and 9 767 vehicles towards Government controlled area of Ukraine, in the opposite direction - 50 503 people and 9 760 vehicles;

EECP “Kalanchak” was crossed by 43 926 people and 4 708 vehicles towards Government controlled area of Ukraine, in the opposite direction - 43 758 people and 4 426 vehicles;

EECP “Chaplynka” was crossed by 5 676 people and 1 880 vehicles towards Government controlled area of Ukraine, in the opposite direction - 4 678 people and 1 595 vehicles. 

The citizens of Ukraine, living in the temporarily occupied territories, travel to the controlled area to visit families, to purchase the necessary goods and services and to obtain services, etc.

The Ministry for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine is actively working on improving the convenience and speed of crossing of EECPs by citizens.
