RUSSIAN OCCUPATION ADMINISTRATION DID NOT ALLOW A CHILD TO THE TERRITORY OF MAINLAND UKRAINE TO PASS EIT
Yesterday morning, on June 23, Russian border guards in Crimea unjustifiably detained a 17-year-old Ukrainian citizen, a resident from Sevastopol, who was traveling from the Ukrainian Peninsula occupied by Russia to the territory of mainland Ukraine to pass the EIT. The boy is studying at the Kherson State Maritime Academy. Representatives of the Russian occupation "authorities" left him on the territory of their EECP to clarify the circumstances. They first demanded his parents to come and take him, and then began threatening to transport him to Sevastopol and impose a fine.
According to the latest information, the child was transferred to his father, but without his documents, because the occupation "authorities" confiscated them and handed over to Sevastopol together with an administrative case against a minor citizen of Ukraine.
The occupation authorities did not inform about the reason why the child was detained at the administrative line.
Let us recall, that this year applicants from the temporarily occupied territories will be able to enter the Ukrainian higher education institutions under a simplified procedure without passing the external independent testing. Under this procedure, they will be able to enter more than 100 educational institutions, on the basis of which the educational centres "Crimea-Ukraine" and "Donbas-Ukraine" are operating.
