SELF-ISOLATION MAY BE AVOIDED IF THE PCR TEST IS NEGATIVE

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made amendments to its Order No. 979 dated from August 8, 2020 "On temporary suspension of entry/exit checkpoints of the temporary occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol City, aimed at preventing the spread of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in the territory of Ukraine"

According to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the obligation to self-isolation within 14 days automatically ceases after the end of the period of self-isolation, or in the case of a negative result of testing for COVID-19 by polymerase chain reaction, conducted after departure from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol City.

In addition, self-isolation is not necessarily applied to applicants and persons enrolled in educational institutions, whose place of residence is the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol City, for the purpose of admission (submit documents, etc.) to educational institutions on the Government-controlled territory of Ukraine and/or beginning of studies (solve issues related to the beginning of studies) in educational institutions on the Government-controlled territory of Ukraine have the right to depart from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol City and to enter the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol City independently or accompanied by a legal representative.

From now on citizens of Ukraine and their family members can cross the EECP (without the permission of the Head of the State Border Service and the approval of the Ministry for Reintegration) in case if the PCR test on COVID-19 is negative or  on the condition of compliance with self-isolation within 14 days using the mobile application "Dii vdoma":

⁃ whose place of residence is registered in the Government controlled territory of Ukraine for departure from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea or Sevastopol City;

⁃ whose place of residence is registered in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea or Sevastopol City for entry to the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea or Sevastopol City;

⁃ in case the crossing is carried out to ensure the protection of national interests or in connection with the implementation of international obligations, representatives of diplomatic agencies and humanitarian missions for departure of the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol City, as well as their vehicles, cargo and other property.

As well as when crossing on humanitarian grounds.
