08.12.2020 | 11:02

At its session, the Commission for consideration of issues connected with monetary compensation for victims, whose houses or apartments were destroyed as the result of an emergency of military nature, caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, took a decision to pay compensation to 10 affected persons in the overall amount of 3 million UAH.

It is important, that not housing replacement is meant but rather compensation for loss of housing. This in no way excludes further steps on compensation of the actual financial loss due to destruction of housing.

Thus, the Commission reviewed 11 applications for payment of the monetary compensation and took a decision on provision of such compensation and inclusion into the generalized list of the 10 affected persons – owners of 10 ruined housing facilities, of which three are located in the city of Avdiivka, two – in each of the Zaytseve settlement, Mykolaivka and Opytne villages, one – in Vodiane village.

Based on the Commission session results, the affected persons will receive compensation in the overall amount of 3 million UAH, which makes 300 thousand UAH per one destroyed facility. The decision was postponed on one facility.

It is worth noting that Ministry for Reintegration, jointly with Donetsk Oblast State Administration, local government bodies and military and civilian administrations of settlements is continuing work on provision of monetary compensation to affected persons, whose housing facilities were destroyed as the result of an emergency of military nature, caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

To recap, the first sessions of the Commission for consideration of issues connected with monetary compensation for victims, whose houses or apartments were destroyed as the result of an emergency of military nature, caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts took place on November 18, 2020, resulting in adoption of the decisions on provision of monetary compensation to owners of 9 ruined housing facilities in Donetsk Oblast and 8 in Lugansk Oblast.

On December 03, at the Commission session it was decided to provide compensation to 10 more families in Lugansk Oblast.
