Today, on May 8, 2020, the public discussion of the Project "Eastern Ukraine: Recovery, Reunification and Revival" (3B) has started.

“The Government of Ukraine is conducting negotiations with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) on the implementation of the Project “Eastern Ukraine: Reconnect, Recover, Revitalize (3R)”. The project aims to strengthen transport connectivity of about 183 km of highways in Luhansk Oblast, which are the key transport corridors in the region, and enhance agricultural efficiency through the implementation of certain agricultural sub-projects aimed at addressing the consequences of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation on the agricultural sector in Luhansk Oblast GCA (the Government controlled area of Ukraine). As a matter of fact, it is aimed to increase economy capacity, cohesion and community engagement in the socio-economic life of the country, which were adversely affected as the result of armed aggression of the Russian Federation, through investment in local infrastructure,” noted First Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories of Ukraine Rostyslav Zamlynskyi.

The total amount of credit funds for the project is US 100.00 million.

Within the framework of the project preparation, the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories of Ukraine has developed framework documents on environmental and social management, the procedure for workforce management, as well as the procedure for expropriation of land plots and other immovable property located on them, which will be implemented during the project realization.

The implementation of this project became possible due to the agreements of the President of Ukraine with the World Bank followed by an Investment Forum in Mariupol. At that time, together with the World Bank, the work of the fund of international partner support for reconstruction and future reintegration of Donbas was launched.
