MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR FALLEN MILITARY PERSONNEL WAS HELD AT THE ST. MICHAEL'S GOLDEN-DOMED MONASTERY

On January 9, 2020, at 19:00, a memorial service was held at the St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery for soldiers who died in December 2019 and last year.

In December 2019, following soldiers died bravely in a course of the armed aggression:

1. Dmytro Kaplunov

2. Denis Volochayev

3. Dmytro Temnyi

4. Andrii Voitovych

5. Victor Pruskyi

6. Serhii Syrota

7. Serhii Mikhalchuk

8. Vasyl Lisicyn

9. Herman Soloviov

Combat actions took place along the entire contact line during the whole year. The total losses among the security and defence forces during 2019 amounted to 110 people, including three women. Three colonels, two of whom received their rank posthumously, one of them was the commander of the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade Yevhen Korostelov were among the fallen heroes.

The Head of the Kyiv Military Lyceum named after Ivan Bohun, Hero of Ukraine Major-General Ihor Hordiichuk attended the event.

A memorial service is held monthly in the premises of the St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery.
