THE MINISTRY FOR REINTEGRATION HELD AN INTERDEPARTMENTAL MEETING ON THE RESTORATION OF WORK OF EECP

At an interdepartmental meeting the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories of Ukraine and the representatives of the Ministry of Social Policy, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, the State Migration Service of Ukraine, the Pension Fund, JSC "Oschadbank", Donetsk Civil-Military Administration, Luhansk Civil-Military Administration, the Kherson Regional State Administration, as well as the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea have discussed the formation of the action plan for the forthcoming restoration of crossing of the contact line in the East of Ukraine and the administrative line with the Autonomous Republic of Crimea after the forthcoming opening of the EECP.

“The Government has to solve an important task promptly: to ensure the gradual restoration of full operation of the EECP as painlessly as possible for the citizens who are trapped in the situation that has developed due to the Russian aggression against Ukraine. It is necessary to take into account two factors of this task: on the one hand, the health of citizens on both sides of the contact line under the conditions of the global pandemic Covid-19, on the other hand, the needs of citizens in communicating with relatives, receiving social assistance, medical care, administrative services, education, and the like. Therefore, it is necessary to do everything possible to ensure the rights and freedoms of Ukrainians,” stressed Rostyslav Zamlynskyi, First Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories.

The participants of the meeting reported on the situation and provided their perspectives on the forthcoming restoration of the work of EECP. Therefore, they discussed the organization of monitoring of travelers' health, providing them with personal protective equipment, isolation (hospitalization) in case of need, development of a mechanism for verification of persons crossing through the EECP from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, provision of pensions and social benefits for IDPs and persons residing on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and other issues.

As a result of the meeting, the participants agreed on joint actions to ensure a quick and safe procedure of crossing the EECP, in particular, establishment of appropriate protocols for the development of a mechanism for synchronization of databases, possible organization of an electronic records for IDPs (verification through the application "Diia"), which plans to conduct verification in the structural units for social protection and physical identification in JSC "Oschadbank", as well as issuing permits to individuals for crossing the contact line.
