Ukrainians from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts will be allowed to enter the Government controlled territory of Ukraine during the quarantine in case of critical life circumstances.

“Since the introduction of restrictions on the crossing of EECPs in Donetsk, Luhansk and Kherson Oblasts, the Ministry for Reintegration is closely monitoring the situation, we are in continuous contact with local administrations, border guards, non-governmental organizations that deal with the issues of the temporarily occupied territories. This morning, the Government made an important decision regarding the crossing of the EECP in Kherson Oblast. Now we have information from the State Border Service about a similar decision regarding Donbas. Restriction on movement are a forced measure to save the lives of our citizens, but we understand that sometimes people have different critical life circumstances, which necessitate crossing the contact line. When such situations arise, citizens need to arrive at the EECP with the appropriate documents. In such cases the decision on crossing is made exclusively by the Commander of joint forces individually on each situation in territories of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts and the Head of the State Border Service in the territory of Kherson Oblast,” explained Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Reznikov.

Recall, that at today's session, the Cabinet of Ministers allowed the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine to allow Ukrainian for entry into and exit from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea during quarantine and temporary restriction of the work of EECP in the presence of humanitarian needs.
