DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER REZNIKOV AND CHARGE D’AFFAIRES OF THE USA TO UKRAINE KVIEN DISCUSSED COOPERATION BETWEEN UKRAINE AND THE UNITED STATES
Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Reznikov and Chargé d'Affaires of the United States to Ukraine Kristina Kvien have discussed cooperation between Ukraine and the United States.
The meeting was held yesterday, on June 22, in the format of a video conference.
Bilateral relations between countries, including further development of strategic partnership and assistance of the United States to Ukraine through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) were discussed at the meeting.
Additionally, the Parties discussed existing situation in the East of Ukraine due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, sanctions against Russia, touched upon the Budapest Memorandum and the like.
They also discussed the Minsk process and the internally displaced persons involvement in its work.
“We are grateful to the United States for providing large-scale military and security assistance to our state, for financial assistance, including USD 3 billion of credit guarantees. Further development of the Strategic Partnership in all areas is our priority and we look forward to further effective cooperation and comprehensive support from the United States Government,” emphasized Oleksii Reznikov, thanking Kristina Kvien for a fruitful meeting.
Oleksii Reznikov also reported on his plans to pay an official visit to the USA in the near future.
