Starting January 1, 2020, subsidized categories of Ukrainians will be eligible for applying at any time to switch to cash compensation for housing and communal services. The Ministry of Social Policy abolishes the restriction, that banned the Ukrainians to apply for «monetization» after October 15 (for the heating period) and after May 15 (for the non-heating period).

The corresponding decision was made at a Government session on December 27.

«Previously, Ukrainian beneficiaries could receive monetized payments only if they filed a corresponding application before the start of the heating season, before October 15, and now they can do it at any time», ‒ said the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Yuliya Sokolovska.

The implementation of the resolution adopted by the Government will affect the interests of citizens who receive housing subsidies, benefits for payment of housing and communal services, the purchase of solid fuels and liquefied gas, structural units for social protection of the population, business entities.
