The presentation of the chat-bot "Yurydychnyi poradnyk dlia pereselentsiv" (Legal Advisor for IDPs) on Viber and Telegram platforms, which is already available was held today.

This tool is designed to solve the issues of access to qualified legal assistance for persons, affected by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in eastern Ukraine and due to the occupation of the Crimean Peninsula.

Chat-bot will allow to get qualified free legal assistance at any time and in any place.

Chat-bot is a joint product of the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP Program and the legal team of the CF "Right to Protection", which since 2014 has been dealing with the legal protection of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and persons affected by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in eastern Ukraine, as well as due to the occupation of the Crimean Peninsula.

A large number of citizens now require legal assistance, but do not always have the opportunity to receive it. Snaver Seitkhalil, Deputy Minister for Reintegration of TOT of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitization noted during the presentation of the chat-bot that today Ukraine has up to 1.5 million IDPs, and up to 5 million citizens reside on the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk, Luhansk oblasts and Crimea, and often do not have access to the websites of government institutions and agencies of Ukraine, because they are blocked by Russia. "The Ministry for Reintegration of TOT together with our partners does everything possible to ensure that due to modern communication tools people can obtain the necessary legal assistance quickly and free of charge. I am very grateful to EGAP Program and the team of the CF "Right to Protection", which realized this chat-bot. At the same time, our Ministry together with the Ministry of Information and Communications is also working to ensure that all public services are available online throughout Ukraine, including temporarily occupied territories. The launch of the chat-bot for IDPs is an important step towards a paperless state," emphasized Snaver Seitkhalil.

In the chat-bot, in addition to answers to frequently asked questions from IDPs about border crossing, the processing of documents, etc., they can find recommendations on how to act in one case or another, see samples of necessary procedural and other documents, contacts of government agencies and organizations, interactive maps, infographics and useful links.

To start working with a chat-bot it is necessary to scan a QR-code with your smartphone and the advisor will help you find the necessary information through the help buttons. If a person couldn't find the required information, then there is an opportunity to contact the lawyers of the CF "Right to Protection" via the hot line.
